ABOUT OUR PHOTO JOURNALISM PROJECT

 

As part of celebrating Singapore 50, Secondary 1 students from Singapore School of Technology (SST) and their mentors from Singapore Photographers, embarked on a Singapore50 Tiong Bahru Photo Journalism Project to capture the sights, sounds, people of one of Singapore’s oldest HDB estate, Tiong Bahru. Through the students’ lenses, we explore the heartlands of Tiong Bahru, examining how Tiong Bahru today is a hodgepodge of urbanisation co-existing with heritage and tradition.
